Engine Rebuilding Service was established in 1968 by George Schmelzer. George started the business out of the home garage and worked there for 10 years until moving the business to the city of Sturgeon Bay, WI. His son, Don aka Buck Schmelzer joined him in 1989 as a partner in building their family machine shop.Then in 2006 George and Buck built a brand new shop in Brussels, WI where they are currently operating their well established business.

Specializing in engine building for agriculture, marine, performance, classic, off road, automotive, truck and custom engine building.

Machining services include cylinder boring, head reconditioning, line honing, engine balancing and pressure testing.
